When will the new site be up and running?

Late this week or early next week. I've been leaning on them more and more, but they've had server errors and they bit off more than they could chew with wowwiki.

They told me the entire process would only take a couple days, I'm pretty pissed that it's taken this long. Not much I can do about it though. It's really bad that the vandalism spike on PvX hit early, so the site is almost unusable for weeks until Curse gets their shit together.

But like we've said, when it's up and running, we'll make a thread about it. And it'll be all over the pages on [email protected] obviously.

Despite someone deleting my earlier post with a screenshot, someone is playing with the new wiki all the time - probably set a bot to edit it's main page over and over.
If Curse can't 'get their shit together', at least prevent the new pvx from being vandalised since it's very beginning.

Oh believe me, I told them of the issue. Their guy told me the pages would be wiped when they were ready to unpack the database dump. He didn't bother protecting the page or setting up an admin account for us to do it.

We're still waiting on Curse. They're apparently still struggling to catch up from BlizzCon (and honestly, we're not really high on their to-do list).

I'll check on this and see what I can find out.

The builds tag as meta on the Wikia version will be maintained by a few users who will prevent vandalism. Note that they will probably not be updated unless someone cbf to. For now, this means it will still be useful for people who used the site for reference and template codes until updates change the meta. Everything else will be free to go down the drain.
